Contrary weather demands better equipment for information about the atmosphere.

 To understand the past, present and the future climatic conditions, GPIL has installed an automatic weather monitoring system which manages all processes independently without much human intervention. The EMS laboratories now have the facility of metrological analysis which measures temperature, rainfall, dew point, wind velocity, wind direction and numerous features with the highest accuracy. Automatic weather monitoring system builds a functional and complete database which requires high quality observations. In addition to gathering the data, GPIL also keeps the local community informed well in advance about the adverse climatic conditions to minimize any possible risk.
